2009 has been a successful year for hip hop artist, however for some it has also been a difficult one.

Rap phenomenon Dwayne “Lil Wayne” Carter has without a doubt been the most successful emcee this year. With prodigys such as Drake and Nicki Minaj signed to his Young Money label, Lil Wayne is on the fast track to becoming a music mogul to rival that of Jay-Z and Diddy.
